Jeff Barnett is an accomplished executive with more than 20 years of global business expertise. His track record includes establishing and growing profitable international divisions of global energy companies, fundraising for entrepreneurial start-ups, private-equity financing of energy companies, and turning around businesses in need of additional leadership. 

Jeff's practical approach to identifying critical problem areas involves a relentless focus on the causes of business challenges, not just the effects. This has allowed him to develop prescriptive solutions throughout his career. These experiences and approach are what inspired MPA's three-step engagement process of Assessment, Planning and Implementation. 

 Jeff’s background and career highlights include:

Executive Management

• Established the Americas division for GCL's solar components unit and led the division to profitability and more than $110 million in annual revenues.
• Named International Executive of the Year by GCL's Global Leadership Committee.
• Led Yingli Green Energy's Americas business unit and oversaw $320 million in annual revenue across 32 countries. Established Latin American operations which contributed more than $100 million to top line revenues.
• Originated more than $2 billion of investment opportunities across the renewable energy sector and assisted in the closing of 240 MW of renewable power plants for Exelon Corporation.
• Founded Blue Square Energy and raised $9 million in equity and debt while leading the company to profitability.
• Managed multi-million dollar Intel Inside® co-marketing budget for Intel Corporation to support East Coast PC distribution customers.

Advisory

• Serve as Senior Adviser to CEO of Cut Golf during equity financing and development and execution of expansion plans. 
• Served as Principal Adviser to GateGuru during its Series A financing  and continued in same capacity through company's acquisition by Trip Advisor
• Acting Adviser to Emelco to transition its balance of energy consumption from traditional fossil fuels to predominantly clean energy sources. 
• Co-Founded and served as Director for St. Christopher's Foundation for Children -  a charitable organization dedicated to providing financial support to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, PA. To date, fundraising has topped $7 million.
